Food and coffee were sensational especially the Greek yoghurt with fresh fruit. The local Naxos cheese (xynomizithra) used in both the pie and fried egg dish was delicious. Service was friendly & accomodating!
The best coffee on the island, place itself is super nice, great location, great view over the harbor, pleasent music, great choice of food, desserts and wine. Glad this place is open for the whole year
Came here for a coffee, very nice indeed Came with a delightful free snippet of custard tart and a great view. Also tried their 'cheese pie of Amorgos'....just when you think you must have tried every kind going, along comes a new one, shaped a bit like a Cornish pasty, about 6 inches long, served warm, light as a feather and came with a tiny wee scimitar to cut it into dainty bite size morsels. It also comes drizzled with warm honey which may sound like an odd combination but here its quite normal and actually very scrummy. The server was also very friendly and chatty which added to an all-round very nice first experience at The Locals, Naxos.
I came in for breakfast because of the good reviews. I waited a long time to be acknowledged, but was patient because of the reviews and because it was busy. Still no excuse to walk by a customer and not even acknowledge their existence. When it came to time to pay, the waitress selected the exchange on the machine to USD, which is supposed to be the customer's choice. The server should NEVER choose this for their customers, plus it caused me to lose money in the exchange as its common sense to never accept the exchange on those machines.
