Dinner at Kyra on our first evening in Milos became one of my favorite and most memorable dining experiences during my honeymoon in Greece. Situated on a plaza in front of the Milos archaeological museum, we enjoyed delicious cocktails and food while listening to live music. The singer’s voice and song selection were fantastic and created a fun, romantic vibe. The grilled halloumi, margarita pizza, and pumpkin orzo with feta were all amazing. We enjoyed our experience at Kyra so much that we came back for brunch on our last day on the island. The smoked salmon Benedict and coffees were delicious. The best part: A family of cats, including four kittens, live outside Kyra and one joined us for brunch. Highly recommend Kyra to anyone looking for a contemporary Greek restaurant in Milos.
Great, strong Freddo cappuccino! The staff were lovely and so kind — one of them had a really nice chat with my wife that left a great impression. The outdoor seating was beautiful and made for a really nice coffee break.
Everything was delicious (especially the spaghetti if you like carbonara) except for the shrimp pasta that tasted nothing and were clearly overpriced. The pizza came 40 minutes after the rest of our food, but the staff members were nice and gave us a compensation.

The location itself is lovely, with a great open-air setting and a refreshing breeze. However, the service was absolutely terrible. Staff were running around like headless chickens, clearly overwhelmed and disorganized. We received our starters and mains promptly, and our table was cleared soon after — but then we were completely ignored for over 30 minutes. No dessert menu was offered, no follow-up, and no bill brought to us. It was as if we had been forgotten entirely. Had to ask for the bill 4 times. On a busy night, it’s the establishment’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate staff. As paying customers, we should not have to chase down basic service or feel like second-class guests.
