We had great and relaxing stay! Maria and staff are very nice people! Location of hotel is amazing. Breakfast is good and salads at pool-bar are so tasty and fresh. Only we would like coffee at breakfast to be a little bit stronger but not everybody wants, so we understand. We would love to come back!
Relaxing Stay at Viva Mare Hotel – 8/10 We had a really pleasant stay at Viva Mare on Lesvos. The location is absolutely amazing — set in a beautiful environment with stunning views. The hotel grounds are well-kept and very clean, which really added to the overall experience. The rooms are on the older side, but they’re clean and perfectly sufficient, especially for travelers who aren’t expecting luxury. Daily housekeeping was a big plus. The beach could use some improvement, though — a bit more attention there would go a long way. Food was tasty even with a smaller selection, and although there could have been a bit more variety in fruit, we always left satisfied. When it comes to drinks and alcohol, don’t expect too much — but we never went thirsty! What really stood out was the friendly and caring staff. Always smiling, always helpful. When I had an accident on a scooter, everyone was genuinely concerned and did everything they could to help me. That kind of support made all the difference.
We chose this hotel only because it advertised having an electric car charging station. Our room was a suite in the new building. On the first day, the water supply was cut off, and even when it was on, the water pressure from the tap was extremely low. There were two sinks in the bathroom but only one small bar of soap provided. The in-room phone to contact reception did not work, so every request required going down to reception personally. On the second day, the electricity in our room went out. Instead of fixing the problem, the staff kept insisting on questioning what we had used in the room to cause the fuse to trip. We explained several times that it happened while taking a shower and that the issue was with the jacuzzi, but no solution was provided. We asked for another room, but were told there were none available. Later another staff member came, switched off the jacuzzi fuse, and told us to “manage like this until tomorrow” when an electrician would come — but no one ever showed up. Breakfast was another disappointment. Although it was advertised until 10:30, at 10:00 the doors were already closed, food was removed, and items such as glasses were not replenished once they ran out. This hotel is absolutely not worth the money. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Staff smoking in non smoking area, pool terrible maintained. Sunbeds destroyed and crazy worn. Food below average. Room is just a complete mess. Broken lamps, broken ac, broken shower head, broken toilet fan. Bed is 100% in front of the bed on the upper floor, therefore making it unusable. Fitness center is an absolute joke and 0% as advertised. Not usable at all. Overall the whole hotel lacks maintenance and have for a long time. Im very disappointed with this one.
