I loved this place! Was at authentic village for a few days this summer and truly loved my stay, the bakery next door was amazing. The people in town were kind. Beautiful views and great hospitality from the staff members running the village! It was like waking up in a dream everyday for the entirety of my stay. Thank you so much Eda and Mahos, wish you both the best!!! Absolutely beautiful and highly secluded location from the majority of Crete.. I recommend you rent a car as there are plenty of small beaches and family run accommodations/kitchens on the beach within about a 15 minute drive. The town has everything you need though with it all being about a 2-5 minute walk from Authentic Village. I end up on some pretty tiny island and micro resorts (my favorite way to spend money lol) and this was truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to on earth. Thank you again!
We went to several towns on the southern coast of Crete, and this was our favorite place. Elda greeted us with such warmth. Our room was spotless, and the view from the balcony was so beautiful we could have sat there all day. There are many steps in this town but that gives it such charm. The Authentic Village Boutique Hotel is the best place to stay in Sfakia. You will not want to leave.
Very well maintained and designed rooms. Everything works perfectly. All the staff are incredibly nice and helpful (shoutout to Majos). Sea view rooms are truly stunning. Free mini bar supplies with both still and sparkling water and lemonade along with nespresso machines with capsules refilled every single day. A very good choice to make your base camp for the Sfakia region.
The very best hotel in south Crete and Sfakion. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The cleaning is superb! You have a minibar that is filled with new bottles of water every day. You get towels for use on the beach as well.. The hotel is connected to a bakery so you get discount when you buy breakfast…, and on top of that they have free car parking - in a town with few car parking places. This time we stay for 9nights at Authentic Village. Last time (2years ago) we stayed 2times 2nights here🫶🏻
