Excellent soup! Other food as well but the soups are the best. We had the chicken soup with rice and big pieces of chicken breast, tastes like home! The roast beef in tomatoes sauce and potatoes was very nice as well. Great place to visit.
Tried out the tripe soup. It was such a great meal for a cold windy day. But the taste/smell can be quite intense for some people if you do not like or cannot stand the gamey (almost pungent) flavor of meat. Though with the vinegar and chili added, it was just amazing. There are a LOT of other choices on the menu as well 😄 Oh, and the staff were very friendly and helpful
One night when I was starving, I discovered this restaurant, which was open 24 hours. I wandered in for some pasta—it was one of the best-tasting pastas I’ve ever had. I became obsessed and returned multiple times while staying in Thessaloniki. I even tried patsas upon my boyfriend's encouragement! Yes, the smell was strong, but they made it so well that it was delicious! My boyfriend ran away, but I stayed—with my bowl of patsas. To this day, when I hear the name “Tsarouchas,” my salivary glands kick into overdrive. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Thessaloniki, just so I can come back here!
