Many visitors highlight the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms, the comfort of the beds, and the quality toiletries provided.
- Guests have praised the hotel’s breakfast as delicious and thoughtfully prepared, though some note that it is served à la carte rather than buffet style, which may affect variety over longer stays.
- The hotel’s quiet ambiance at night is a common positive point, contributing to restful sleep even in the bustling city center.
- Many appreciate the attentive service, with staff readily fulfilling special requests such as providing kettles and tea in rooms.
However, some guests have mentioned that certain rooms face an inner stairwell rather than the outside, resulting in limited natural light and a less conventional window view. Enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Gem Society Hotel. Wonderful staff, nothing too much trouble (eg requested kettle and tea in the room) squeaky clean room and bathroom, funky functional design and delicious breakfast. Super comfy beds, great toiletries, absolutely quiet at night. One evening ate in Muse, the hotel’s bistro which was outstanding. This is a classy hotel in a fascinating neighborhood, all sites walkable. Would definitely come back. Only gripe, TV has no iOS connectivity or apps that work for screen mirroring.
Excellent staff, very helpful with every aspect of the trip. Breakfast was amazing! Even if you don’t get a deal with breakfast included, it was fantastic. Room was clean and excellent water pressure and showering products. The only thing I would say is that there needs to be conditioner in the shower for hair! Temperature control in the room is good, and we didn’t hear any noise from near by rooms or stairwells. Would highly recommend Gem society.
Fresh towels every day are so classy! The windows in our rooms were to a stairwell, not to outside, which was a little unusual. We kept the curtain pulled the whole time, so it did feel a little like a windowless dorm room. But the hotel is very nice, quiet, functional, and a great location walking distance to most attractions.
Our room had a bad smell of sewage and was dark during day time since the room face an inner stairwell. The hotel was going through construction. The breakfast is very tasty but not buffet, by cart and after three days you want something else that’s not on the menu. The staff is very nice and professional. Overall a 3 in my opinion.
