We had a great stay at the Arcade hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is fantatasic, it is close to everything you'd want it to be. we stayed in the double superior room and it was spacious and had a great view of the acropolis. it is magic to look out the window and see such a magnificant site. Complimentry bottled water in the room and the breakfast in the morning were great additions.
Perfect stay for a business trip. Especially the reception workers who look after the front desk and breakfast, they were extremely helpful in helping sorting emergency transport to the airport during a general strike and I witnessed them being very kind and patient with a lost tourist, going out of their way to help him find his way back to his tour group (successfully in the end!). The hotel itself was perfect for our work stay and centrally located.
I want to highlight how incredible Marilena was during our stay. When we arrived, there was a taxi strike and our pre-booked transfer was canceled. In less than 24 hours, Marilena had arranged transportation for us to the hotel and even helped us book a transfer back. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The Arcade is lucky to have her. She’s an absolute gem!
There were several reasons why we chose to stay at Arcade Hotel Athens in the last few days in Athens and Greece. Firstly, it is located in the heart of Athens. This also means that all the major sights in central Athens are just a stone’s throw away. Without our metro passes now, this would facilitate our last couple of days which can now be done by foot. Secondly, the hotel also has a view of Acropolis, right from our window! While it is partially blocked, as with some rooftop bars in Athens, it does give us the privacy to just enjoy the views and having conversations in the comfort of our room...
